Awesome work, ladies! C'mon, fellow fans, let's rock!
In light of the news about Jensen and Jared's current choices of charities from the Red Bull Derby, they are launching a second charity campaign for fans in Jensen Ackle's name. This will benefit Doctors Without Borders and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
PLEASE NOTE: Lindsay and Heather *will* be presenting proof of the charities' efforts to Jensen and Jared, personally, at the Chicago convention in November.
Now, with no further ado, here is their press release:

Support Supernatural's Fan Campaigns Continue!
September 10, 2008 – Support Supernatural's fundraiser on behalf of Jensen Ackles is in full swing! Due to fan demand, Support Supernatural has added Doctors Without Borders and St. Jude Children's Hospital to the campaign.
Doctors Without Borders is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971. Today, Doctors Without Borders provides aid in nearly 60 countries to children, teens and adults whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. They provide independent, impartial assistance to those most in need.
St. Jude Children's Hospital is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made at St. Jude have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly. St. Jude is a place where many doctors send some of their sickest patients and toughest cases. All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay.
Support Supernatural's goal is to raise at least $500 for each charity, for a minimum total of $1,000 to be donated. Support Supernatural is also running a campaign on behalf of Ackles' Supernatural co-star, Jared Padalecki and his dogs Harley and Sadie for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).
The following has been collected so far:
• PETA $572
• HSUS: $600
• Doctors Without Borders: $285
• St. Jude Children's Hospital: $280
Support Supernatural also has an exciting offer from Titan Magazines! Titan is allowing Support Supernatural to give away two subscriptions to Supernatural Magazine! Every person who donates will be entered to win a subscription, courtesy of Titan! Donation size does not affect chances of winning, but if someone donates to both campaigns, they will have two chances to win! Also, for every purchase made at the Titan store through the Titan link located at Support Supernatural, Titan will give 10% to the Support Supernatural fan campaigns!
Donations to any of the four charities may be made at www. SupportSupernatural. com by clicking the PayPal links, or personal checks made out to the charity of choice. For tax purposes, PayPal provides donation receipts. Persons who wish to write checks may use their duplicate or canceled check for their receipt. Contact Lindsay [...] at [...] for an address to send checks. The Ackles and Padalecki fan campaign deadline is November 1.

C'mon, fandom! Let's go do the boys proud. :-)
So. How many of you know how awesomely
janglyjewels (Becky's) Jared Photobook and Animal Rescue Site charity drive went? Dudes ... our fandom cleared over $4,000 dollars for Animal Rescue. WE DID THIS!! I have never been more proud of Supernatural fans. It's staggering to think what a force we can really be.
And now? I wanna see if we can do it again.
See, Lindsay and Heather at www.SupportSupernatural.com have launched two more charity campaigns. One is to raise a minimum of $500 each to The Humane Society and PETA, for Jared. The other is to raise a matching $1,000 in Jensen's name for Young Life.
They have met the animal rescue goal! But we need to excede it. And we need to rock fandom one more time, for Jensen and the kids. We need make the good deeds happen. Can we do it? I think we can. We just did, to the tune of a solid four grand. So let's lock 'n load, people. We've got work to do! :-)

ETA: Remember, I'm just the messenger. Contact the good ladies at www.SupportSupernatural.com for your questions or comments. Now, let's go do our boys proud!
Are you in Supernatural withdrawals, yet?
Yeah, me too. So, here's what I'm thinking. Yes, episode 3:12 got the best ratings yet, and the CW is rumored to be happy. The buzz for S4 is good. BUT. Now is not the time to weaken, and the fact we'll get 4 new episodes in April/May don't mean diddley.
8) So. Here's what we can do.There's theWhere's Supernatural campaign that started on the CW Lounge forum - just go to http://www.savesupernatural.com/ and check out the Postcard Campaign!
The postcards are already there, just look for the downloadable/printable documents, or save the images and print them to your own standard, and then get the addresses and some stamps.
ETA: Also visit their companion site:
http://www.beisight.de/supernatural_actionplan/index.html
They're writing to the CW, letting them know how much we love Supernatural and urging them to return SPN to the spring airing lineup as soon as possible. Plus they're writing to sponsors for the show, also listed on SaveSupernatural.com, thanking them for their support. Pre-formatted postcards are available onboth Save SPN websites, or just use a postcard from your own home town.
ALSO - check out http://www.supernaturalunderground.com/ and http://www.teamwinchester.com/ for their "Back in Black" muscle car mailing campaign. Contribute to them all, or pick your favorites, but let's make a noise! :D
We all know that we won't hear until May whether SPN is going to be renewed, and we need to let the Powers That Be know we are out here. Okay, that's me with the pompoms, lol! But let's keep up the good fight! :D
Cheers ~
Erin
Okay, kids, it's time to lock and load!
You want SPN back on the schedule? Then let's make a big, big noise! Spectre, LindeyW and others are proposing a plan of action that's easy, fun, and sure to make a splash. And it's what all SPN support groups have been saying since the news broke: speak up!
Here's what the gang at the CW Lounge and www.SupportSupernatural.com are saying:
-------------------------
Good news: SUPERNATURAL is NOT cancelled.
Bad News: SUPERNATURAL is not on the schedule after its four (4) remaining new episodes air –Thursdays 9:00 EST on the CW January 31st through February 21st.
Hopefully, the writer's strike will end, the show will go back into production, we'll get a few more new S3 episodes AND Supernatural will be renewed for Season 4.
Until that happy day when we get the announcement that SUPERNATURAL is back on the CW's schedule, I suggest that each week we remind the CW that we are out here and we love SUPERNATURAL:
PHASE ONE: 'Keep Supernatural on the Schedule' Active dates: Today through 2/24.
1. This week: Send a brief polite letter or a post card to the CW expressing your disappointment in the decision to remove Supernatural from the schedule. Please keep the message positive - you love Supernatural, that's why you're so upset.
2. Week of January 28: Send a 'Please keep SN on the schedule' postcard or letter with a note saying how much you are looking forward to the new episodes.
3. Weeks while new episodes are on and we have no definite date of when Supernatural will return to the schedule: Send 'Please keep SN on the schedule' postcard or letter with a brief note about how awesome that week's episode was.
PHASE TWO: 'Where's SUPERNATURAL???' (Maybe we won't need phase two – maybe we will have a return air date by then . . . . .fingers crossed.)
Active dates: 2/26 - ????
1. Each Monday or Tuesday of a week that contains NO SUPERNATURAL – Send a “Where's Supernatural?” or “I miss Supernatural!” postcard or letter to the CW. The idea being that they will arrive on Thursday – the day we should have our Supernatural.
2. On each Thursday night when Supernatural SHOULD be airing: Send an email and/or call the comment line at the CW with the message: “I wish I was watching Supernatural right now.”
PHASE THREE: 'All Hell Breaks Loose'. Honestly, I don't think we will need phase three. I think SN is off the schedule for non-sinister network-y type reasons and that we'll get an announcement of when it will be back. But if we don't . . . . . . that's when we need to start sending the M&M's or toy cars or whatever.
It is very important that we continue to remind the CW that we Supernatural fans are out here – we're waiting for OUR show to come back – we won't forget about it – we won't settle for substitutes -- No outta sight, outta mind for us, CW!!
Melatcw adds - Note: Postcards are 4" X 6". Homemade is OK with the U.S. Post Office so long as its on heavy cardstock weight paper.
Sheasks that any card template makers to please use Avery 8386.
