Hello other fans! I am new and I have to be completely honest with everyone. I didn't know what supernatural was until last year. It's true. I didn't really ever watch a lot of television. I broke my leg during a dance audition. Anyway, I was sitting on the couch with nothing to do. All of my family and friends went camping and left me at home. I was channel surfing and saw the name Supernatural on the listings. I thought it might be good. It was. I watched it and was immediately in love with it. I loved it so much that as soon as I was moblie again I went out and bought seasons one and two. Then I bought season three once it came out. My computer desktop is a supernatural pic. I watch my copies so much that I got my mother addicted too. She is a huge Dean fan. She loves Sam too but she really loves Dean. I said I thought that Jensen was really hot and she said to me, "You can have Jensen, but the character Dean is mine." We never miss an episode and I have to say when she saw what happened this last season she was yelling at the tv. It was hard to feel sad or anything like that when she was screaming things like "What the hell is wrong with you Sammy?" "Sam, You douche nozzle" She loves Sam but he is on her bad side right now. We have conversations about where we think the show is going and things like that.
The weekend was AWESOME! Came back from the Supernatural convention in Birmingham with such great memories. Met both boys, Misha, Fredric, Malik and young John and Mary and old Mary.
It was really surreal and there were some right wrong'uns at this event, weirdos! but I kept my cool and avoided them.
Then we came back on Sunday and sat down to the next episode of Supernatural - when the boys encounter the ghouls and their half-brother.
I really hope the guys are at Comic Con again this year. x
I recently bought season 1 of Supernatural. I am a pretty big fan of the show ever since I saw the first several episodes. One of the earliest draws for me was the whole element of 'ghosts' because I really like the paranormal. As the season went on, I really found that the characters of Sam and Dean were another big draw. As the season progressed it seemed like the characters also did too. I liked the idea of two brothers, seperated yet united in one goal. As I watch, and rewatch the first season it makes me feel like the writing, plot and acting comes together in a way that draws the audience in. Season one is a great start, and I would have to say that one of my favorite episodes is about the 'reaper'. I like how Dean cheats death with the help of Sam. This episode is the first time that we get a glimpse of how the brothers can twist fate, change destiny and cheat death. It plants the seed for future shows, and makes me feel like anything is possible.
I think last week's episode was one of my favourites in season 4 so far. The prophet idea was really cool as they crank up the religious 'mythology' if you want to call it that as the weeks go by.
Ofcourse Lillith would not be pacified by Sam giving her one and she lives another day to break more seals.
I loved Castiel again, almost being the third big brother to Sam and Dean, watching out for them. And at the very end when the old guy angel, I've forgotten his name, prevents the prophet killing himself, was a cool touch as he is forced to live in his own living hell.
We've got no Supernatural next week for some reason but they're back in a fortnight. Can't wait!
We were really impressed with last Sunday's episode. It had everything we wanted! It was like a mini movie or a season finale.
Not only was Castiel in it but Sam was getting into his demon side and a revelation was laid before poor Dean.
I think Dean could have been a bit more brutal with Alastair though.
Not hot: the voice of Alastair started to grate and seemed overplayed but I got used to it towards the end.
Boring Anna being boring.
Hot: the 'human' side of Castiel, Sam sucking Ruby's blood
After the episode we went to see Wolverine at the flicks. What a great night! xx
I know I haven't been blogging for a while but I have been sooo busy! Ofcourse that did not mean I didn't have time to watch my most favourite show ever.
Trust the writers to factor in a strip joint!
Wonder whose idea that was. Flaky episode, mildly predictable but on the plus side, I really enjoyed the performance of the FBI guy/siren. It just makes me wanna become a poledancer if it's Dean who's going to be watching.
Okay, so last Sunday's episode was totally weird and I didn't expect the medium to cark it. I know they don't want to cover old ground but finding new ways for the boys to explore the supernatural and the seals, it can come across as a bit desperate and contrived.
On a positive note, we're off to Birmingham later in May for the Asylum event. Who's going? Can't wait to see the boys there - AMAZING!
Ohmigod! I've never laughed so much since the Trickster first appeared - last Sunday saw Dean in the most hilarious PT teacher's outfit. He just can't keep away from shorts can he after donning that lederhosen early in season 4!
I wish he was my Phys ed teacher.
Another standalone episode - not bad but it wasn't hard to guess it wasn't as easy as burning the nerd's bones, it had to be the bully causing havoc. Maybe the writers just wanted a device to show the boys' background and early days
But it was cute to take a look at the boys' school days. I adore young Sam, what a fighter, hope we see more of this talented little actor.
What's hot? Dean in shorts, young Sam, Dean being a teacher
What's not? Predictable storyline
OMG! How hot was this episode - a continuation of the anna the angel stuff. I was hooked and then Dean took his shirt off - I couldn't take my eyes of that hunky torso. Anna - what a waste and how unrealistic - I thought Dean would have some discrimination but I guess it would spoil the cute parallel of having Sammy dating a demon and Dean dating an angel. I also loved the brilliant character of Alistair. Hope he comes back. And I like Pamela the medium being the new Ellen figure.
I prefer these dark, delving episodes rather than the seemy standalones. what do you think?
can't wait till next week!! xx
Ok, so this was more like it. Or at least it was towards the end.
The Halloween theme was an excuse for the producers to get cheeky with girls in silly outfits but once things got back on track with the serious business of raising demons I could breathe easy.
And praise be! Castiel was back. I love the relationship between Dean and Castiel. The last scene just cut through that so well with C confiding in the boy he has doubts too. Now it's not just Sam keeping secrets from his bro, Dean's gonna have to play the same game.
I also liked the suggestions of flashbacks Dean had when he saw that ghoulish mask in the school. This is the best kind of episode - not a purely standalone story but going back to the boys' history.
See ya next week.
This show is the greatest show EVER!!! (Underline EVER) I love Dean!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!! Thnx for listening!
Dean was so cute in the latest episode when he got ghost sickness. But it seems the series is going soft - why so much comedy and not enough scares or mind-bending weirdness? We want frights and apocalyptic prophecies-to-come.
Bring back Castieland his shadow-wings!
